Although many people still think of infertility as a woman’s issue, the truth is that as many as half of all infertility cases are caused or exacerbated by male infertility. This means that if you are a couple that is having trouble conceiving, it is just as imperative for the man to go through testing as it is for the woman. While this may seem like an embarrassing process for many men, early testing may save the woman from undue poking and prodding, and help the couple find an answer to their fertility issues much more quickly and effectively. It is important for any infertility workup to include an investigation of male infertility as well as the female problems that can be the culprit.

The Face of Male Infertility
There are a number of factors to consider when diagnosing male infertility. First, there may not be any sperm produced, which is a condition called azoospermia. You can also have a condition called oligiospermia, which is where there are very few sperm that show up in the semen. This can greatly reduce the chances of conception. It can also be a problem if sperm are present, but cannot move effectively enough to penetrate the egg for fertilization. Finally, there can be issues with the form and structure of the sperm that can also inhibit fertilization. The good news is that there are treatment plans available for many of these issues in male infertility.

Treatment Options for Male Infertility
Sometimes the treatment options regarding male infertility can be as simple as a few behavioral changes. Your doctor may recommend less frequent intercourse if your sperm count is low, to ensure that you can build up a better concentration of sperm in between. If hormones are the culprit, a medication can be prescribed to solve the problem. Another effective treatment for male infertility is artificial insemination, where the sperm and eggs are extracted and fertilization takes place outside the womb. This can be a very effective treatment for low sperm counts and other issues, since a single sperm can successfully be placed into an egg.

The good news is that there are many treatment options for male infertility that can greatly increase a couple’s chances for successfully conceiving a child. If you have been trying to conceive for a year or more without success, talk to your doctor today about your options in infertility diagnosis and treatment. You and your partner will be glad that you did.

Male infertility solutions are available to all men; you just need to know where to go. Your main goal is to be able to conceive correctly. The man needs to be able to fertilize the egg in the correct way for pregnancy to occur. When this does not happen, a number of different reasons could be the cause. You need to seek out male infertility solutions to help get you back to normal and ready to conceive a child.

The Cause and Solution
There are some well understood causes for male infertility that men need to make themselves aware of. It may be a result of the sperm problems and seminal fluid, or the organs of reproduction. A few specific conditions exist that can cause male infertility and there are also male infertility solutions for them. The one common cause of male infertility is Varicocele. This problem is caused by the varicose type veins that are found in the spermatic travel route. They become larger than normal and do not dilate like they should. You can pick out this problem with a few signs to like for. The first sign is the visibility of large extremely dilated veins on the scrotum. The second is a large bulge, lump, or swollen area on the scrotum that is painless. You may not even have any symptoms at all. Male infertility solutions for this problem are simple to have tests run and to have the blockages removed for normal blood flow to return. Surgery to correct this problem is used to tie off the bad veins completely. This is effective male fertility solutions for men with this problem.

Low sperm count can also be a problem requiring male infertility solutions to be used. Low sperm count is more commonly known as oligospermis. A male sperm test will be preformed to get the exact sperm count. It will also look for anything abnormal in the shape and movement of the sperm. The male infertility solutions available for low sperm count are not wearing tight clothing, loosing weight; stop the smoking, and avoiding hot baths and saunas. Most of the time, following this advice will be the best male infertility solutions you can find.

Professional Help
Getting a health care provider to show you the best male infertility solutions is always a great idea. Not only can they give you the correct treatment but, they can give you the correct diagnosis for the infertility. When you know what you are fighting against, it makes it much easier to find the right types of male infertility solutions for your situation.

When a couple tries to get pregnant, it can be a very exciting time. Sometimes, however, no matter how much a couple tries, they can’t seem to conceive. It’s times like these that the woman often blames herself. She will often feel inferior or that something is seriously wrong with her. It can cause depression and it can make her feel as though she is worthless. It’s important, in times like these, for the woman to think realistically, for the problem may not be with her at all. If a couple can’t seem to have a baby, it may be the man’s fault, not the woman’s, and it may be time for the man to take a male infertility test.

Fill This Cup, Please
A male infertility test is conducted by having the man provide a sperm sample. This is usually conducted in much the same way that men donate sperm to a clinic. They will be escorted to a room in the fertility clinic, they will be handed a magazine and will be told to fill a cup. While most men have no problem in providing a sperm sample in the privacy of their own home, it can sometimes be nerve wracking to perform in a clinic setting. That’s why most clinics are designed to make the man feel as comfortable as possible. If you are in this setting and can’t seem to relax, just take a moment to realize why you are there in the first place and you will likely relax enough to provide a sample so that you can hopefully get an answer as to why the two of you can’t seem to have children.

Your doctor will test your sample to see if you are the cause of the infertility. The male infertility test can determine if the man has a low sperm count, if his sperm are irregular or it can also determine that the man is perfectly capable of having children. If the man has a low sperm count, sometimes fertility drugs can be given to help the man provide enough sperm to impregnate his mate. If the male infertility test determines that the man is incapable of having children, adoption may be your only route. The important thing is to pin point the reason why you can’t have children because sometimes not knowing is a worse feeling.

Adoption is not the end of the world, however, as you have to realize the joy you can potentially bring to an orphaned boy or girl. The male infertility test will give you the answers you require. It is not reserved for those who have gone through several negative pregnancy tests, however, as having a male infertility test before you even try to conceive can relieve a lot of potential heartache, especially for the woman who will initially blame herself for the couple’s inability to conceive.

Many male infertility treatment options exist today. The type of treatment that you may choose to undergo depends on the type of infertility problem you are facing as a man. You will need to understand that before you and your doctor can choose the correct treatment, three things will need to be determined. The first thing that needs to be investigated is the reason for the infertility. Hopefully, it can be found and it will not be unidentifiable. The next thing to determine is just how bad the sperm defect really is. The final determination is in the age of the female partner that they are trying to get pregnant. Once these have been answered, the chosen male infertility treatment can be started.

Types Of Male Infertility Treatment Options
There are some very different types of male infertility treatment options. We will discuss a few of them in this article. The first male infertility treatment is done for a problem called Varicocele. The male will need to undergo surgery to help to tie off dilated veins that exist in the testes. The pregnancy rate is almost forty percent and pregnancy occurs within about 9 months after having the procedure. If the sperm count is still low after the surgery, help may be needed to conceive. If you have been diagnosed with a low sperm count but, the doctor can not find any reason for the low count, you may need the male infertility treatment medication called Clomiphene citrate. It is in infertility pill that helps to stimulate sperm production in men. It is also used in women to help them to ovulate. The sperm count should improve within 6 months. You will need to be reevaluated every three months.

The most well know male infertility treatment is the Intrauterine insemination (IUI). This male infertility treatment is the most delicate because it entails the sperm being directly inserted into the egg. The sperm does not have to be very motile as it does not have to make its way through the vagina and cervix to the egg. The success of this male in fertilization treatment depends on the age of the female. The older she is the less of a chance it will work. You can also look into the other options that are available to you. You may find a new male infertility treatment that has greater success rates.

Combined Treatment
You can get any number of male infertility treatment options. You and your doctor will be able to combine your efforts to get you the best results possible. Take into account the factors that may affect your chances. Do not allow the percentage rates to sway your decision. Go full steam ahead with your decision to have male infertility treatment options performed.

When a couple has decided that they want to create or expand their family this is an exciting time filled with joy and happiness. This is at least the way it normally starts out but it has become a growing problem that more and more couples are not able to make it work. Not being able to conceive is no longer uncommon as more than one out of five couples are having difficulties.

Even after years of trying nothing happens and you will need to start looking for both a cause and a solution to the problem. It is in the nature of the woman to start blaming herself for not being able to conceive and she starts getting many negative thoughts about herself and her body. She starts feeling inferior and self esteem declines as she believes that there is something seriously wrong with her.

This will not improve the likelihood of conceiving and she might spiral herself into a depression. What is needed is a clear and realistic approach to the subject of infertility and before tests have been carried out there is no way to tell whether the problem is actually with her and her body.

Through various tests it has been proven that in many cases is the actually the man that is the problem and therefore it is important that he takes and male infertility test. To have a baby both parties must function and as soon as the problem is experienced the man should take the test to avoid all the negative impacts this can have on his partner.

The Male Infertility Test
The test in conducted by providing a sample of sperm at a laboratory or at the doctor’s office. It is not much different than the way it is done when men donate sperm at a clinic so if you have ever tried donating this will be no different.

He will be escorted to a private room in the fertility clinic with a cup to fill and maybe some magazines, movies or other “tools” to help him get the job done. Providing a sperm sample in the comfort of your own home is normally not a problem for most men but when you a facing doing it at a fertility clinic this can be an overwhelming task. Most clinics are therefore designed to make the men feel at home so that they are comfortable and relaxed as it improves the chances of success. Closing your eyes and using the imagination will often do the trick.

This little (even when it feels overwhelming) task will result in a sample that will provide you with the knowledge of whether you are the problem. Unfortunately more and more men become infertile and if you are diagnosed infertile you will soon find that you are not alone and the numbers keep growing on a daily basis. The reasons for this development can be many and there is currently no specific reason for this. Some say that it is the food we eat, some say it is the radiation and some say that it might be because the underwear is too tight.

The Test Results
When the doctor gets your results he will tell you at a private consultation whether you are the reason for the infertility. The make infertility test will determine the sperm count and if the sperm count is low and/or the quality is low this might be the reason why it is hard to have a baby. On the other hand if the test result is positive you will know that you are perfectly capable of having children. If the sperm count is low there are some infertility drugs that will help increase the count so that the woman becomes pregnant.

It is not a shame to take a male infertility test and you should think of it this way: Better to have the facts than not knowing.
