The Causes for Infertility – What Are They?
The moment when you find out that you and your spouse can’t have children can be a very devastating moment for the both of you. Some people wait and look forward their entire lives to have children and being told that you can’t ever have the children that you dreamed of can make you feel worthless or even inferior. Before you find yourself in that situation it is important to know some of the causes for infertility because some of the causes of infertility can be avoided at an early stage and some can even be reversed.

For the ones that can be reversed it means that even if you’re told that you can’t have children today, the situation can be totally different in just a few months by following the doctor’s orders. You could actually be on your way to having your first of many children because the cause was reversed. You will however need to remember that if the doctor tells you that your infertility is caused by something that you cannot change nor do anything about, it is not the end of the world. There are many alternative options and adopting a child can be just as joyous as having a child naturally.

Female Vs Female Infertility Causes
The first thing that normally happens when a couple finds out that they can’t have children is that the woman instantly blames herself first. For most women it is their worst fear of all to be told that they can’t ever have children of their own. There are many causes for female infertility but some of the most common reasons of infertility are genetics, a poor diet, smoking, lack of exercise, a hormone imbalance and several other health related issues.

The lifestyle characteristics like the diet and smoking can be changed or stopped which in return will reverse the infertility. However, in cases such as genetic malfunctions options are limited and there may be nothing that can be done. Most women often jump to conclusions instantly but here is absolutely no need to do so without getting tested by a doctor. Today the fact is that it may be the man that is the cause of their inability to become pregnant and not the woman.

The causes of male infertility are as many as in woman and can be caused by a low sperm count, certain diseases, irregular sperm, and like in women, the genetic code. By smoking, the use of drugs and other lifestyle related characteristics will often play a major part in the male infertility.

If you find yourself in a situation were you can’t become pregnant, make sure that the man is tested as well to determine if he is the cause of the couple’s inability to conceive. The only thing needed is that the man will need to provide a sperm sample which will be tested by the doctor. If might be necessary to have a blood and urine test taken as well to determine if there are any other internal causes for infertility.

If the conclusion is that the couple has one or more of the causes for infertility, there will be other options available to them. The most commonly used is that of an adoption. Also there is the en vitro fertilization and more options are developed every day. The best thing is to talk to your doctor to see what alternatives that is available to you, such as adoption and fertility treatments.

Bringing joy to an orphaned boy or girl can be just as great as that of having a child naturally. Most people have no idea about how many unfortunate children are out there. There are children that don’t have any parents or children that have been left to die because the parents couldn’t take care of them. You may be just the parents to fill the job for a very lucky little boy or girl and in the most extreme cases the child will only have a future because of you.
