When a woman finds out that she is infertile, it can be devastating. Just the feeling of knowing that she can never conceive children is a very life changing experience. However, it is important to know what causes the infertility because sometimes all it takes is a doctor’s recommendation or the use of a prescription drug to change the woman’s chemistry so that she can finally have the child or children she’s always wanted. If a woman finds out that she is infertile, a doctor will usually perform a procedure called an endometrial biopsy.

What Is An Endometrial Biopsy And How Is It Performed?
An endometrial biopsy is performed by inserting a catheter through the woman’s cervix and into the uterus where the doctor will collect a sample of the uterine lining. The doctor will be testing to see if the uterine lining responds normally to progesterone, which is why endometrial biopsy and infertility go hand in hand. An endometrial biopsy can also be performed to test abnormal uterine bleeding, which can also be caused by a hormone imbalance.

If you have been deemed infertile and an endometrial biopsy is scheduled, make sure that you take ibuprofen before the procedure to alleviate some of the discomfort. Just remember that an endometrial biopsy is sometimes necessary to determine the cause of the infertility and in some cases the infertility can be reversed.

If the infertility is caused by a hormone imbalance, the endometrial biopsy will be able to detect that and the doctor will usually prescribe progesterone to relieve it. By having the simple endometrial biopsy for infertility performed, you could be well on your way to having that first coveted child.

However, it should be noted that not all women who are infertile and have an endometrial biopsy performed eventually have children. Infertility can be caused by a number of things and you should not get your hopes up too high. An endometrial biopsy for infertility can be a very useful tool but it is not a fix all.

There is a silver lining, however, as if you are infertile, and the endometrial biopsy determined that there’s nothing that can be done for you, just remember that you can always adopt. By adopting a child who doesn’t have the benefit of knowing their birth parents, you will bring joy to that child’s life and you will also fulfill that need of having a child. Even if you didn’t give birth to that child, just the unconditional love of that child will likely heal that emotional wound you endured the moment the doctor told you that you were infertile.

There are a number of causes of female infertility, but the good news is that your doctor has a very good chance of determining the cause for your particular problem. Once your infertility issue is diagnosed, you may well be on the way to an effective treatment plan that will bring you that much closer to the health pregnancy and baby that your heart desires. The first step is in understanding the many causes of female infertility, so that you can identify your medical problem and seek the appropriate treatment. Most doctors will recommend that if you are under the age of 39 and you have been trying to get pregnant for a full year, it is time to see your doctor to determine the cause of your female infertility.

Potential Causes of Female Infertility
There are many factors that can get in the way of a successful conception. One is hormonal factors that can wreak havoc with the ovulation process. There are numerous tests available that can detect hormonal issues, including a basal body temperature chart, an ovulation predictor test and blood tests that can evaluate hormone levels at different times during the monthly cycle. If hormonal issues are determined to be the cause of female infertility, treatment can include taking hormones orally to increase the chances of a successful ovulation and conception.

Another potential cause of infertility is damage to the fallopian tubes. The fallopian tubes are the means by which an egg will travel from the ovaries to the uterus. If an egg can’t make it to its final destination, conception cannot take place. Infections, endometriosis and surgeries all have the potential to cause damage to these tubes. This damage can usually be diagnosed with a variety of tools, and sometimes correction can be done with surgery. In other cases, treatment may involve extracting the egg directly from the ovary, fertilizing it outside of the body, and then transplanting it inside of the uterus. This will completely eliminate the need for healthy fallopian tubes as a part of the conception process.

In a small percentage of cases, the cause of the female infertility may never be known. In this case, you and your doctor will need to determine if there are good treatment options available, or if adoption or other means of having a family are a better solution. The good news is that with the many treatments available for female infertility today, your chances of successfully having a healthy baby are greater than ever before.

If you have had problems with infertility, you may be told to have infertility immune testing done. It seems that this form of test is suggested after repeated tries to have Invetro in fertilization done and with failures each time. It could cost you five hundred dollars or more for each infertility immune testing you do. When you have had repeated in vitro procedures and are being implanted with the perfect embryos, you can get frustrated and even angry. You may feel that more answers are needed. Trying to find out why the body is rejecting the embryos can sound like the answer you are looking for. Infertility immune testing is suggested for couples that are having this problem.

What Is Immune Testing?
Many different labs will now provide infertility immune testing for infertile couples.

Keep in mind that even though you have the infertility immune testing done, there is no certain knowledge that the body’s immune system has anything to do with the failure of the fertilized embryos to become implanted in the female. There are also no standards for the testing. Each lab performs their infertility immune testing in any way that they see fit. You can get tested in one place and go to another and be tested and come out with different results. When you have different results, you also have difficulty in trying to figure out the interpretation of the infertility immune testing. It has been shown that women that are able to conceive will show up with abnormal results on the test. This does not sit well with having this infertility immune testing done for infertile women.

It is strongly suggested that you do not even bother with having infertility immune testing done. It is a waste of money and even the labs can not tell you what the results of the test mean to you. When you are facing infertility, you already have enough to worry about. You especially do not want to spend money out on a useless test. You can use that money for some other treatment that is been proven to be useful for helping a couple to actually get pregnant. If it is suggested to you to try infertility immune testing to see if the problem is with you, decide to not have this test completed. You may be frustrated at repeated attempts to conceive but, this will only make matters more confusing for you.

The Right Time
The time will be right for conception to take place, if it is meant to happen. You will need to just keep trying. There are many treatments that are proven to do the right thing for infertile couples. When you are facing the problems of not being able to have a child, you do not need unnecessary problems and treatments to help. Infertility immune testing is one of those problems and you need to stay away from it.

When a couple tries to get pregnant, it can be a very exciting time. Sometimes, however, no matter how much a couple tries, they can’t seem to conceive. It’s times like these that the woman often blames herself. She will often feel inferior or that something is seriously wrong with her. It can cause depression and it can make her feel as though she is worthless. It’s important, in times like these, for the woman to think realistically, for the problem may not be with her at all. If a couple can’t seem to have a baby, it may be the man’s fault, not the woman’s, and it may be time for the man to take a male infertility test.

Fill This Cup, Please
A male infertility test is conducted by having the man provide a sperm sample. This is usually conducted in much the same way that men donate sperm to a clinic. They will be escorted to a room in the fertility clinic, they will be handed a magazine and will be told to fill a cup. While most men have no problem in providing a sperm sample in the privacy of their own home, it can sometimes be nerve wracking to perform in a clinic setting. That’s why most clinics are designed to make the man feel as comfortable as possible. If you are in this setting and can’t seem to relax, just take a moment to realize why you are there in the first place and you will likely relax enough to provide a sample so that you can hopefully get an answer as to why the two of you can’t seem to have children.

Your doctor will test your sample to see if you are the cause of the infertility. The male infertility test can determine if the man has a low sperm count, if his sperm are irregular or it can also determine that the man is perfectly capable of having children. If the man has a low sperm count, sometimes fertility drugs can be given to help the man provide enough sperm to impregnate his mate. If the male infertility test determines that the man is incapable of having children, adoption may be your only route. The important thing is to pin point the reason why you can’t have children because sometimes not knowing is a worse feeling.

Adoption is not the end of the world, however, as you have to realize the joy you can potentially bring to an orphaned boy or girl. The male infertility test will give you the answers you require. It is not reserved for those who have gone through several negative pregnancy tests, however, as having a male infertility test before you even try to conceive can relieve a lot of potential heartache, especially for the woman who will initially blame herself for the couple’s inability to conceive.

Many male infertility treatment options exist today. The type of treatment that you may choose to undergo depends on the type of infertility problem you are facing as a man. You will need to understand that before you and your doctor can choose the correct treatment, three things will need to be determined. The first thing that needs to be investigated is the reason for the infertility. Hopefully, it can be found and it will not be unidentifiable. The next thing to determine is just how bad the sperm defect really is. The final determination is in the age of the female partner that they are trying to get pregnant. Once these have been answered, the chosen male infertility treatment can be started.

Types Of Male Infertility Treatment Options
There are some very different types of male infertility treatment options. We will discuss a few of them in this article. The first male infertility treatment is done for a problem called Varicocele. The male will need to undergo surgery to help to tie off dilated veins that exist in the testes. The pregnancy rate is almost forty percent and pregnancy occurs within about 9 months after having the procedure. If the sperm count is still low after the surgery, help may be needed to conceive. If you have been diagnosed with a low sperm count but, the doctor can not find any reason for the low count, you may need the male infertility treatment medication called Clomiphene citrate. It is in infertility pill that helps to stimulate sperm production in men. It is also used in women to help them to ovulate. The sperm count should improve within 6 months. You will need to be reevaluated every three months.

The most well know male infertility treatment is the Intrauterine insemination (IUI). This male infertility treatment is the most delicate because it entails the sperm being directly inserted into the egg. The sperm does not have to be very motile as it does not have to make its way through the vagina and cervix to the egg. The success of this male in fertilization treatment depends on the age of the female. The older she is the less of a chance it will work. You can also look into the other options that are available to you. You may find a new male infertility treatment that has greater success rates.

Combined Treatment
You can get any number of male infertility treatment options. You and your doctor will be able to combine your efforts to get you the best results possible. Take into account the factors that may affect your chances. Do not allow the percentage rates to sway your decision. Go full steam ahead with your decision to have male infertility treatment options performed.

Progesterone and infertility improvement seem to be something synonymous with one another. Progesterone is a naturally occurring hormone in women. It is one that is necessary for the menstrual cycle to be regular and right on schedule. After a woman ovulates, the progesterone is created. It is sent to the place where the mature egg came from and now has moved away from the ovary. Progesterone is also necessary for the twelve week old placenta during pregnancy. The uses of progesterone and infertility improvement are related to the effects of this hormone on a regular hormonal balance and cycle. The progesterone and infertility treatments are a good combination to help with pregnancy.

Progesterone and Infertility Treatments
When you are in the process of trying to conceive through in-vitro methods, progesterone is and integral part of that process. Progesterone and infertility treatments are what are needed to supply the egg with the right things. Once the eggs are taken from the mother, the progesterone is given for the uterine lining to build up to the place it needs to be for conception. It will make the lining of the uterus thicker and that will give the fetus a chance to attach itself easier. Progesterone and infertility treatments work together because the hormone increases blood flow to the uterus lining and that is important.

You may experience some side effects to the progesterone. It may cause you to feel bloated, have breast tenderness, be tired, have some nausea, experience headaches, experience mood swings, and if you are using a suppository, have vaginal discharge that you would not ordinarily have. The uses of progesterone and infertility treatments are rather safe. You will just need to talk to you health care provider about any medical problems or about your medical history before you and the doctor decide to move forward.

Using The Hormone
If you are thinking about having progesterone and infertility treatments, you need to make yourself aware of everything that goes along with it. You want to try every option that is possible to conceive and sometimes you may get overwhelmed and confused about what is the right course of action for you and your spouse. Progesterone and infertility treatments are safe to use but, you will still feel better about it if you know as much information about progesterone and infertility that you can.

Secondary infertility is a threat to all couples. There are many couples with children that have not thought twice about having more children. Some of those very same couples are surprised to fin that secondary infertility stops them from obtaining that dream. They think that because they have one or more children that they are not at risk of being infertile. Secondary infertility can and does happen to those couples. Up to sixty or more percent of the infertility cases are due to secondary infertility. Even with a high percentage number, most people do not view secondary infertility like they would if it was any other form of infertility.

What Exactly Is Secondary Infertility
Secondary infertility is defined as the inability for a couple to conceive a child after they have already successfully and in natural ways conceived one or more children. There are over three million women who are going through secondary infertility in the United States. This number has increased drastically in the past few years. The problem is in the thinking about secondary infertility. Couples think that because they have already had children that they can just automatically have another one. The couples that experience secondary infertility rarely gets any infertility treatment because of this thought process. Many couples will just keep on trying to have a child and have no luck with it. The doctor will also not look into the matter very deep and also encourage the couple to keep trying. The sad fact is these couples will eventually get frustrated and more hurt because the conception will usually not happen.

There are a number of causes of secondary infertility that the couple needs to be made aware of. Most of these reasons are the same or similar to those of regular infertility. If you have been pregnant before, you will need to try to see if any of these problems have happened since that time. If you or your partner have had any type of infection, gained a lot of weight, or have a poor diet, these will affect fertility. They make a huge difference. If you feel that you and your spouse are experiencing secondary infertility, the female will need to be checked for low egg quality and the male for a low sperm count and any problems with the normalcy of the sperm. There are a few more reasons why secondary infertility happens. These problems include female ovulation issues, Endometriosis, pelvic adhesions in the female and female fibroids and polyps.

Should I Go To My Doctor?
You may want to start by talking to a gynecologist if you are a woman and an urologist if you are a man. These two types of doctors can guide you to where you can finally find out the reason for your secondary infertility. If you have had unprotected sex for a year or more and have not gotten pregnant, it is time to talk to your physician about it. If you are having miscarriages or irregular menstrual cycles, you should go in to the doctor a lot sooner. You may have medical problems that will affect your ability to have more children due to secondary infertility.

The Causes for Infertility – What Are They?
The moment when you find out that you and your spouse can’t have children can be a very devastating moment for the both of you. Some people wait and look forward their entire lives to have children and being told that you can’t ever have the children that you dreamed of can make you feel worthless or even inferior. Before you find yourself in that situation it is important to know some of the causes for infertility because some of the causes of infertility can be avoided at an early stage and some can even be reversed.

For the ones that can be reversed it means that even if you’re told that you can’t have children today, the situation can be totally different in just a few months by following the doctor’s orders. You could actually be on your way to having your first of many children because the cause was reversed. You will however need to remember that if the doctor tells you that your infertility is caused by something that you cannot change nor do anything about, it is not the end of the world. There are many alternative options and adopting a child can be just as joyous as having a child naturally.

Female Vs Female Infertility Causes
The first thing that normally happens when a couple finds out that they can’t have children is that the woman instantly blames herself first. For most women it is their worst fear of all to be told that they can’t ever have children of their own. There are many causes for female infertility but some of the most common reasons of infertility are genetics, a poor diet, smoking, lack of exercise, a hormone imbalance and several other health related issues.

The lifestyle characteristics like the diet and smoking can be changed or stopped which in return will reverse the infertility. However, in cases such as genetic malfunctions options are limited and there may be nothing that can be done. Most women often jump to conclusions instantly but here is absolutely no need to do so without getting tested by a doctor. Today the fact is that it may be the man that is the cause of their inability to become pregnant and not the woman.

The causes of male infertility are as many as in woman and can be caused by a low sperm count, certain diseases, irregular sperm, and like in women, the genetic code. By smoking, the use of drugs and other lifestyle related characteristics will often play a major part in the male infertility.

If you find yourself in a situation were you can’t become pregnant, make sure that the man is tested as well to determine if he is the cause of the couple’s inability to conceive. The only thing needed is that the man will need to provide a sperm sample which will be tested by the doctor. If might be necessary to have a blood and urine test taken as well to determine if there are any other internal causes for infertility.

If the conclusion is that the couple has one or more of the causes for infertility, there will be other options available to them. The most commonly used is that of an adoption. Also there is the en vitro fertilization and more options are developed every day. The best thing is to talk to your doctor to see what alternatives that is available to you, such as adoption and fertility treatments.

Bringing joy to an orphaned boy or girl can be just as great as that of having a child naturally. Most people have no idea about how many unfortunate children are out there. There are children that don’t have any parents or children that have been left to die because the parents couldn’t take care of them. You may be just the parents to fill the job for a very lucky little boy or girl and in the most extreme cases the child will only have a future because of you.

When a couple has decided that they want to create or expand their family this is an exciting time filled with joy and happiness. This is at least the way it normally starts out but it has become a growing problem that more and more couples are not able to make it work. Not being able to conceive is no longer uncommon as more than one out of five couples are having difficulties.

Even after years of trying nothing happens and you will need to start looking for both a cause and a solution to the problem. It is in the nature of the woman to start blaming herself for not being able to conceive and she starts getting many negative thoughts about herself and her body. She starts feeling inferior and self esteem declines as she believes that there is something seriously wrong with her.

This will not improve the likelihood of conceiving and she might spiral herself into a depression. What is needed is a clear and realistic approach to the subject of infertility and before tests have been carried out there is no way to tell whether the problem is actually with her and her body.

Through various tests it has been proven that in many cases is the actually the man that is the problem and therefore it is important that he takes and male infertility test. To have a baby both parties must function and as soon as the problem is experienced the man should take the test to avoid all the negative impacts this can have on his partner.

The Male Infertility Test
The test in conducted by providing a sample of sperm at a laboratory or at the doctor’s office. It is not much different than the way it is done when men donate sperm at a clinic so if you have ever tried donating this will be no different.

He will be escorted to a private room in the fertility clinic with a cup to fill and maybe some magazines, movies or other “tools” to help him get the job done. Providing a sperm sample in the comfort of your own home is normally not a problem for most men but when you a facing doing it at a fertility clinic this can be an overwhelming task. Most clinics are therefore designed to make the men feel at home so that they are comfortable and relaxed as it improves the chances of success. Closing your eyes and using the imagination will often do the trick.

This little (even when it feels overwhelming) task will result in a sample that will provide you with the knowledge of whether you are the problem. Unfortunately more and more men become infertile and if you are diagnosed infertile you will soon find that you are not alone and the numbers keep growing on a daily basis. The reasons for this development can be many and there is currently no specific reason for this. Some say that it is the food we eat, some say it is the radiation and some say that it might be because the underwear is too tight.

The Test Results
When the doctor gets your results he will tell you at a private consultation whether you are the reason for the infertility. The make infertility test will determine the sperm count and if the sperm count is low and/or the quality is low this might be the reason why it is hard to have a baby. On the other hand if the test result is positive you will know that you are perfectly capable of having children. If the sperm count is low there are some infertility drugs that will help increase the count so that the woman becomes pregnant.

It is not a shame to take a male infertility test and you should think of it this way: Better to have the facts than not knowing.

You may have been told by your doctor that you needed to have infertility immune testing done if you were experiencing problems with infertility. Studies show that after having repeated to have In Vitro in fertilization done and with a negative result with every try, the infertility immune testing is the best “next option” you have.

Infertility immune testing is not free and it can easily cost you five hundred dollars or more. This might seem expensive after you have spent a lot of money and time trying to become pregnant. If you have been through several in vitro procedures and maybe having perfect embryos implanted more than once it can become frustrating and very challenging. You will probably be looking for answer and this is what the infertility immune testing will provide for you because it can tell you why the body is rejecting the perfect embryos.

Testing the Immune System
Infertile couples can get help from many different sources today. Hospitals and Fertility Clinics have made expanded heavily over the last decade because infertility is a growing problem for the youth of today. After trying out the different options available a test called infertility immune test needs to be carried out to test whether the body’s immune system rejects the implants. Having infertility immune testing done will not give certain knowledge that it is the body’s immune system that causes the failure of the fertilized embryos that is implanted in the female body.

Secondly there is still no standard for this test which means that a test carried out at one laboratory can have a completely different result than a test carried out in another laboratory. The methods of infertility immune testing has still not been available and practiced long enough for standards to be developed and the doctors can perform the test as they see fit. In the years to come we will see methods become standard and as the public problem of infertility (unfortunately) grows the rate with which test and cures will be developed will increase.

Don’t Take the Test
Because of the lack of standards and precise and useful results, it is recommended that you don’t spend your time and money having the infertility immune testing done. The results of the test will not help improve the situation and therefore the money can be used for better purposes. Facing the issue of infertility will have you worry enough so why worry about a possible problem with the immune system if the test isn’t even correct?

It is suggested that you spend your money and time to get proved treatments. There are many available treatments that have helped many couples that have been in the same situation as you and have had great results with the treatments they have used. Search the internet for forums discussing the issue and have firsthand knowledge from others that have had a positive result after facing the infertility problem.

Time Is Important
Even though it might be frustrating the best possible solution to the problem is keep trying to become pregnant. Enjoy the time with your partner and make it a great experience – if the body is stressed and frustrated it is not working at its optimal level and the ratio of success will be diminished. Instead try to think positive thoughts and imagine what everything will be like once the baby arrives. Focus your thoughts on positive things and avoid the negative and you will sooner than you think see the law of attracting working for you. This will give you the best possible result and you can be sure that infertility immune testing will not.
