Finding out that you can’t have children can be a very devastating moment. Some people wait their entire lives to have children and to be told that you can’t makes you feel worthless or inferior. However, it is important to know some of the causes for infertility because some of the causes of infertility can be reversed.

That means that even if you’re told that you can’t have children today, in a few months of following doctor’s orders, you could be on your way to having your first of many children. Just remember that if the doctor tells you that your infertility is caused by something that you cannot help that it’s not the end of the world. Sometimes, adopting a child can be just as joyous as having a child naturally.

Male Versus Female Infertility Causes
When a couple finds out that they can’t have children, the woman often blames herself first. It’s a woman’s worst fear, in most cases, to be told that they can’t have children. Female infertility can be caused by a great many things including genetics, smoking, a poor diet, lack of exercise, a hormone imbalance and more.

The diet, smoking, and other lifestyle characteristics can be changed to reverse fertility but in cases such as genetics, there may be nothing that can be done. However, a woman shouldn’t jump to conclusions without getting tested by a doctor because it may be the man that is the cause of their inability to become pregnant.

Male infertility can be caused by a low sperm count, irregular sperm, certain diseases and, again, genetics. Smoking, drug use and other lifestyle characteristics often play a part in male infertility as well. If a couple cannot become pregnant, the man should be tested to determine if he is the cause of the couple’s inability to conceive.

The man will provide a sperm sample and will have it tested by the doctor. A blood and urine test may be necessary as well to determine if there are any other internal causes for infertility.

If a couple is determined to have one or more of the causes for infertility, there are other options available. For instance, there is adoption, there is en vitro fertilization and more. Talk to your doctor to see if there are alternatives available for you, such as fertility treatments.

And, if not, there is always adoption. Sometimes, bringing that joy to an orphaned boy or girl can be just as great as that of having a child naturally. After all, there are many children out there who don’t have parents and you may be just the parents to fill the job for a very lucky little boy or girl.

Infertility drugs are the major treatment for infertility. Not only are they used on their own, they are used in conjunction with many of the other methods of treatment for fertility. Infertility drugs are so named because they give you a greater chance of having a more complete conception process. They help the body by stimulating it to produce more hormones needed for conceiving. Female infertility drugs help the body to create better and healthier eggs. The same drug given to a man will help his body to produce more testosterone. There are many different types of infertility drugs available. Ask you doctor about which one is best for you.

Difficulty Getting Pregnant
There are a number of researches that shows the percentage of couples that can not have children because of one thing or another. Each one of these couples is dealing with a different case of infertility. It may be that one or both of the people involved has the infertility problem. Once it is determined exactly where the problem lays, the infertility drugs will be prescribed for that particular problem. Understand that they are not cheap to buy and you will need to continue them for a few cycles just as directed by your doctor or infertility specialist. Infertility drugs are very important in the treatment to straighten out infertility problems.

Clomid is the usual and first infertility drug of choice for many infertile couples. The correct dosage of type of infertility drug is totally decided by your health care provider. You will need to take it as is directed or you may not get the results you want. You also need to be aware that Clomid is one of the infertility drugs that can cause birth defects in children so, if you think that you have become pregnant, you need to tell your doctor immediately so they can stop the medication.

The Use Of The Drugs
Infertility drugs are definitely a blessing when you are talking about a couples chances to conceive a child. Not only do the drugs help the female to produce the needed hormones but, it helps the male to so the same thing. Infertility drugs that can help both of the people in the couple are a greater benefit. Not only does it become cheaper for the couple to use the same infertility drugs, it helps the couple to bond more.

Although many people still think of infertility as a woman’s issue, the truth is that as many as half of all infertility cases are caused or exacerbated by male infertility. This means that if you are a couple that is having trouble conceiving, it is just as imperative for the man to go through testing as it is for the woman. While this may seem like an embarrassing process for many men, early testing may save the woman from undue poking and prodding, and help the couple find an answer to their fertility issues much more quickly and effectively. It is important for any infertility workup to include an investigation of male infertility as well as the female problems that can be the culprit.

The Face of Male Infertility
There are a number of factors to consider when diagnosing male infertility. First, there may not be any sperm produced, which is a condition called azoospermia. You can also have a condition called oligiospermia, which is where there are very few sperm that show up in the semen. This can greatly reduce the chances of conception. It can also be a problem if sperm are present, but cannot move effectively enough to penetrate the egg for fertilization. Finally, there can be issues with the form and structure of the sperm that can also inhibit fertilization. The good news is that there are treatment plans available for many of these issues in male infertility.

Treatment Options for Male Infertility
Sometimes the treatment options regarding male infertility can be as simple as a few behavioral changes. Your doctor may recommend less frequent intercourse if your sperm count is low, to ensure that you can build up a better concentration of sperm in between. If hormones are the culprit, a medication can be prescribed to solve the problem. Another effective treatment for male infertility is artificial insemination, where the sperm and eggs are extracted and fertilization takes place outside the womb. This can be a very effective treatment for low sperm counts and other issues, since a single sperm can successfully be placed into an egg.

The good news is that there are many treatment options for male infertility that can greatly increase a couple’s chances for successfully conceiving a child. If you have been trying to conceive for a year or more without success, talk to your doctor today about your options in infertility diagnosis and treatment. You and your partner will be glad that you did.

In today’s society, obesity is very common. Food is readily available and it’s less expensive than ever. Add the fact that there are fatty, greasy fast food restaurants on every corner as well as the fact that most of us live hectic lifestyles which don’t allow us to eat healthily and it’s easy to see why so many people are seriously overweight. However, obesity and infertility go hand in hand and it’s important to know this if you plan to have a child.

How Does Obesity Affect Infertility?
When a person is obese, it leaves them susceptible to many diseases and disorders and one of these is infertility. While most people who are overweight will blame their weight on a gland problem, only a few obese people actually have a disorder that cause their obesity. The disorder that primarily affects a person’s weight in such a drastic way is a problem with the thyroid gland. This can be tested by a doctor by taking a blood sample. If the obesity is caused by a thyroid problem, the problem can usually be cured by taking a prescription medication or some other procedure prescribed by your doctor.

Most often, however, obesity and the resulting infertility are caused by the caloric intake of the person surpassing the calories expended. This means that the person is eating more calories than they burn off through exercise. This can be combated by following a low calorie diet and getting some exercise. However, it is often hard for a person who is obese and is told infertility is the result to go out and exercise as this sort of news can often wreak havoc on an already damaged self-esteem.

It all comes down to how badly you want to have a child. Most people, if they found out that their obesity caused their infertility, they would do anything in their power to lose weight. Losing weight isn’t that difficult if you know how. Consult a dietician, hire a personal trainer or just talk to your doctor regarding tips on how to lose those unwanted pounds.

If you have tried to lose weight and are unable, then it may be necessary to begin taking infertility treatments. Sometimes, having a child is all the person needs to raise their self-esteem. In this case, having the child will actually be the motivation that causes them to lose weight.

Infertility treatments should only be a last resort, however, as obesity and infertility do go hand in hand, yet being obese also does nothing for your health. If you are obese and you have a child, you have to be conscious of the fact that you want to be around by the time the child grows up. So, do whatever you can to lose weight so that you and your baby can be as healthy as possible.

Secondary infertility is a threat to all couples. There are many couples with children that have not thought twice about having more children. Some of those very same couples are surprised to fin that secondary infertility stops them from obtaining that dream. They think that because they have one or more children that they are not at risk of being infertile. Secondary infertility can and does happen to those couples. Up to sixty or more percent of the infertility cases are due to secondary infertility. Even with a high percentage number, most people do not view secondary infertility like they would if it was any other form of infertility.

What Exactly Is Secondary Infertility
Secondary infertility is defined as the inability for a couple to conceive a child after they have already successfully and in natural ways conceived one or more children. There are over three million women who are going through secondary infertility in the United States. This number has increased drastically in the past few years. The problem is in the thinking about secondary infertility. Couples think that because they have already had children that they can just automatically have another one. The couples that experience secondary infertility rarely gets any infertility treatment because of this thought process. Many couples will just keep on trying to have a child and have no luck with it. The doctor will also not look into the matter very deep and also encourage the couple to keep trying. The sad fact is these couples will eventually get frustrated and more hurt because the conception will usually not happen.

There are a number of causes of secondary infertility that the couple needs to be made aware of. Most of these reasons are the same or similar to those of regular infertility. If you have been pregnant before, you will need to try to see if any of these problems have happened since that time. If you or your partner have had any type of infection, gained a lot of weight, or have a poor diet, these will affect fertility. They make a huge difference. If you feel that you and your spouse are experiencing secondary infertility, the female will need to be checked for low egg quality and the male for a low sperm count and any problems with the normalcy of the sperm. There are a few more reasons why secondary infertility happens. These problems include female ovulation issues, Endometriosis, pelvic adhesions in the female and female fibroids and polyps.

Should I Go To My Doctor?
You may want to start by talking to a gynecologist if you are a woman and an urologist if you are a man. These two types of doctors can guide you to where you can finally find out the reason for your secondary infertility. If you have had unprotected sex for a year or more and have not gotten pregnant, it is time to talk to your physician about it. If you are having miscarriages or irregular menstrual cycles, you should go in to the doctor a lot sooner. You may have medical problems that will affect your ability to have more children due to secondary infertility.

When talking about Celiac disease and infertility, it is important for you to know and understand exactly what a disease like this is. Celiac Disease is what is called an autoimmune disease. It is a disease that I proven to be inherited through family. The illness causes the small intestine to become damaged when the person eats anything that contains gluten barley, oat, rye proteins and wheat. Normally the intestines should be designed to be able to break these items down and absorb them.

If you suffer from this disease the problem with the intestines is that they become flatten if the disease not being treated rather quickly. That causes problems when absorbing the nutrients from this specific kind of foods and for that reason your body suffers and can’t live up to its full potential (physically and later on mentally). This is an illness that you can actually have at any stage of life from you are a little tiny baby and on up to senior citizen age. After I have briefly described what this disease is, we can talk about how Celiac Disease and infertility come together.

Celiac Disease and Infertility Problems Explained
There are about eight percent of the women that have Celiac disease and infertility both. It seems that keeping you on a gluten free diet like these women have to do because of the disease, causes the menstrual cycle to start earlier than normal and to bring on menopause earlier in life. This does not bode well for conception. Celiac disease and infertility also cause the menstrual cycle to be an on again off again thing. It is not to say that if you have Celiac disease and infertility that you will not be able to get pregnant, it means that it may take you longer or you may be older than you would like to be when you do finally get pregnant.

There are many ways for you to improve your chances of conceiving a child while having this disease. Celiac disease and infertility do not have to be a problem for you. Just realize that the gluten free diet is the main cause for the menstrual problems. You do however need that diet to keep you healthy. It is also not a big concern for pregnancy if you are on this type of diet. Not treating Celiac disease can not only cause you to be infertile but, if you do become pregnant, you can risk the chances of having a miscarriage, smaller babies, and fetal growth problems. One of the best things you can do is to take care of your Celiac disease and infertility will come but, it may be later in life for you.

To Have the Baby You Want
Because of this disease you are experiencing everything later in life than most women. Another important thing is that you will need to treat yourself to be able to stay healthy as should most people. However, if it is left untreated, you will have a higher likelihood of problems with infertility and pregnancy. You must remember that Celiac Disease and infertility do not have to be put together in the same sentence for YOU!

The Causes for Infertility – What Are They?
The moment when you find out that you and your spouse can’t have children can be a very devastating moment for the both of you. Some people wait and look forward their entire lives to have children and being told that you can’t ever have the children that you dreamed of can make you feel worthless or even inferior. Before you find yourself in that situation it is important to know some of the causes for infertility because some of the causes of infertility can be avoided at an early stage and some can even be reversed.

For the ones that can be reversed it means that even if you’re told that you can’t have children today, the situation can be totally different in just a few months by following the doctor’s orders. You could actually be on your way to having your first of many children because the cause was reversed. You will however need to remember that if the doctor tells you that your infertility is caused by something that you cannot change nor do anything about, it is not the end of the world. There are many alternative options and adopting a child can be just as joyous as having a child naturally.

Female Vs Female Infertility Causes
The first thing that normally happens when a couple finds out that they can’t have children is that the woman instantly blames herself first. For most women it is their worst fear of all to be told that they can’t ever have children of their own. There are many causes for female infertility but some of the most common reasons of infertility are genetics, a poor diet, smoking, lack of exercise, a hormone imbalance and several other health related issues.

The lifestyle characteristics like the diet and smoking can be changed or stopped which in return will reverse the infertility. However, in cases such as genetic malfunctions options are limited and there may be nothing that can be done. Most women often jump to conclusions instantly but here is absolutely no need to do so without getting tested by a doctor. Today the fact is that it may be the man that is the cause of their inability to become pregnant and not the woman.

The causes of male infertility are as many as in woman and can be caused by a low sperm count, certain diseases, irregular sperm, and like in women, the genetic code. By smoking, the use of drugs and other lifestyle related characteristics will often play a major part in the male infertility.

If you find yourself in a situation were you can’t become pregnant, make sure that the man is tested as well to determine if he is the cause of the couple’s inability to conceive. The only thing needed is that the man will need to provide a sperm sample which will be tested by the doctor. If might be necessary to have a blood and urine test taken as well to determine if there are any other internal causes for infertility.

If the conclusion is that the couple has one or more of the causes for infertility, there will be other options available to them. The most commonly used is that of an adoption. Also there is the en vitro fertilization and more options are developed every day. The best thing is to talk to your doctor to see what alternatives that is available to you, such as adoption and fertility treatments.

Bringing joy to an orphaned boy or girl can be just as great as that of having a child naturally. Most people have no idea about how many unfortunate children are out there. There are children that don’t have any parents or children that have been left to die because the parents couldn’t take care of them. You may be just the parents to fill the job for a very lucky little boy or girl and in the most extreme cases the child will only have a future because of you.
